NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety

The NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate is widely regarded as a key qualification for anyone responsible for managing fire-related risks in the workplace. With health and safety legislation becoming increasingly rigorous, it’s more important than ever to actively assess fire risks and understand our duties in maintaining a safe environment.

The qualification is made up of six units, each focusing on crucial topics including the basic principles of fire safety, approaches to managing risk, and methods for reducing the likelihood of fire.

The NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate is recognised internationally by employers and professional bodies, helping professionals demonstrate competence in fire safety management and progress into more senior safety roles.

Yes the exam is included.

The FSC1 assessment is an electronic open book exam that you complete and upload via the NEBOSH online portal. Learners will have 24 hours to access, complete and submit their paper, starting from 11am (UK time) on the examination date.

The exam provides a scenario that reflects a genuine workplace setting, and you’ll be required to complete a range of tasks based on the details in the scenario, supported by the knowledge gained during your studies.

The FSC2 assessment involves carrying out a practical fire risk assessment in a real environment. This can be done at your own workplace or at home, and must be submitted by email before the specified deadline.

Both assessments need to be passed in order to obtain the full NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate.
