Remote Courses: How to Get a Qualification Without Taking Time Off Work

Making a big career change, or even developing your existing career, can often feel like a huge commitment. That can be for a number of reasons, but it’s usually decided by one simple factor: not having enough time. With remote courses at CST Training, you can develop your career without having to take any time off work.

Remote Courses Explained

Your first step to taking a course with CST Training is picking which skills you’d like to develop. We have a wide range of courses on our website, from construction National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), to CITB Health and Safety courses, to business management and much, much more. 

Once you’ve chosen the course that’s best for you, you’ll need to complete a registration form. Registering will be a quick process, as long as you have proof of photo ID ready. Then, once you’re registered, you’ll soon be able to start work on your course (and with most of our National Vocational Qualifications, you’ll be able to start within 48 working hours). You’ll complete the course using our online portfolio system. While each course will have a suggested time frame for its completion, you can usually complete it at a faster pace, or at a slower pace- whatever suits your schedule. 

For some courses, you’ll be completing them entirely on your own via online lessons. But for our NVQs, you’re going to have a dedicated NVQ assessor, who will guide you through your course. A lot of the work you do will be through your existing job, and your assessor will assist you with this process remotely. 

One of the best things about our courses is that there’s no expiry date. You can complete them whenever, and wherever, you want.

You can work through them at your own pace, and you don’t have to worry about aligning with someone else’s schedule.
