CSCS Green Card: Career Change

CSCS stands for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme, which awards a number of different cards to workers. These cards show employers that a worker is qualified enough, and experienced enough, to do a particular job at a particular level. CSCS cards are particularly important when it comes to health and safety. If all workers on a site hold a CSCS card, the employees, employers, and the companies are protected.

The Green Card is the labourer card, and is aimed at those who have trained to carry out manual work at a construction site. There are a number of requirements for gaining a Green CSCS Card, the first two of which can be completed with CST Training. First there’s an online course, then an online exam, and then you’ll be completing a CITB test. Finally, you’ll apply for your Green CSCS card.
